Basic First Aid: This is a 16 hour course dedicated to general first aid with an emphasis on marine safety and medical emergencies.
Marine Advanced First Aid: This 5 day course will equip you with the knowledge to administer first aid in a general and marine medical situation. This course is approved by transport Canada and must be renewed every 5 years to keep current as required.
Note: This TC course is required to be renewed every 5 Years
Who Need a Marine First Aid/CPR Training?
Every seafarer who is designated to apply immediate basic first aid in the event of an accident or illness on board a vessel must demonstrate competence to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities aboard ship.
Learn to apply immediate First Aid CPR/AED in the event of an accident or illness on board a vessel. Students gain an understanding of first aid principles as well as safety information specific to the marine environment.
This course meets the Transport Canada TP 13008 E training requirements for the Marine Basic First Aid program and is taught by St. John Ambulance instructors . TC certificate provided by St. John Ambulance.
Basic First Aid (16 Hours) not required for SDV-BS or SVOP. Just a two day basic first Aid course required now.
